WCCEAL as a Quality Improvement Dissemination and Implementation Vehicle: The Wisconsin Coalition for Collaborative Excellence in Assisted Living

This ICTR funded grant builds on a very successful community partnership involving state, industry, consumer and academic partners. The Wisconsin Coalition for Collaborative Excellence in Assisted Living (WCCEAL) was established as the first standardized quality improvement data set for Assisted Living Communities (ALCs) in the country. Falls and falls prevention is one of the three key outcomes emphasized in WCCEAL, and efforts have been undertaken to promote the use of evidence based falls prevention programs. Yet little is known about how ALCs utilize WCCEAL to disseminate, implement and sustain these programs. Addressing that knowledge gap is the main goal of this project.
